The V Project
The v project is a national initiative for 16-25 year olds who give up their free time to volunteer for the benefit of others and their local communities.
Voluntary work can be chosen by personal interest or to help get hands on real experience for a future career. Volunteers are actively encouraged to design and run their own projects, which range from fashion shows, music festivals and community pamper days - plus lots more.

Volunteers are reimbursed with any travel expenses they incur and can also access funds to purchase any equipment they may need to support their volunteering project. The young people will gain a v certificate at the end of their volunteering project or experience, which is recognised as something of value by colleges, universities and employers in their selection processes. References can also be obtained from the placement organisation or the project.
The v project team are located on A floor in the Cyber Café in the Percival Whitley Centre.
