COLLEGE LAUNCHES FREE SUMMER HOLIDAY CLASSES

Budding DJs, beauticians and artists are invited to sign up for a free one-month course at Calderdale College at the end of this month. The first-time courses are targeted at 16 – 18 year-olds.

The DJ Skills class, from 30 June – 31 July, covers DJ technology processes and techniques, sound recording and organising a session. Cosmetic make up, manicure & pedicure and a certificate in exercise studies run from 27 June – 31 July. The Summer Holiday Masterclass in Art, from 30 June – 31 July, incorporates Life Drawing, Drawing Techniques and Body & Form and is also available at Todmorden Community College.

“All the courses are taught by expert tutors and, as a bonus, carry a qualification”, said Karen Shead, marketing manager at Calderdale College. “They can be used as a warm up for further learning or just for fun and should be a great way to kick start the summer!”
