COLLEGE
PUTS ON ‘A
BLOOMING GOOD SHOW’
Aspiring
artists, actors,
designers
and stonemasons are
among those being
urged to visit the
End of Year Show
at Calderdale College’s
new Creative & Conservation
Skills Centre, funded
by Action Halifax. ‘A
Blooming Good Show’ opens
to the public with
a special viewing
on Wednesday 22 June
from 6 – 9
pm and will incorporate
DJ demonstrations
by music technology
students. Entry is
free and the show
continues until Monday
27 June.
The exhibition will
showcase the talents
of students of fine
art, 3D, ceramics,
stained glass, stone
carving, interior
design, print, photography,
graphics and multi-media.
“Exhibitors
range from HND Fine
Art students and
Foundation students
accessing degree
courses, to people
joining us for evening
classes”, said
Carol South, programme
manager for the arts
at Calderdale College. “We
hope that members
of the public will
come along and be
inspired to try something
themselves”.
Information about
the exhibition is
