BREAKING NEWS! Launch of The Ark Childcare Academy, 23rd January 1-3pm & 6-8pm
Please join us at the official launch of The Ark Childcare Academy, which will celebrate the establishment of the Academy with an Open Day/Evening at The Ark in Mytholmroyd. The event will take place on:

Calderdale College is providing people living in Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden and the surrounding areas the opportunity to study childcare and, working with local employers, the College is building capacity for training in the area. Local people working in childcare are getting the opportunity to reach their full potential in friendly and non-academic settings.
Event includes:
- - Official opening ceremony - presided over by a special guest
- - Meet the learners - hear the success stories so far
- - Networking with local childcare colleagues – learn how the Academy can help you reach Ofsted targets
- - Short seminar by managers of the Ark nursery – finalists for the NMT Nursery Business Development Award 2007
- - Calderdale College representatives on hand to speak about the training opportunities available
Open Evenings, Open Days and Enrolment
Open events are held on the first Wednesday of each month on the Francis Street campus. Come along and speak to staff across the curriculum areas about the wide range of courses available and if they are suitable for you.Having seen what is available if you would like to join a course it will be possible to arrange for an individual interview with a specialist tutor. Many of our courses do not require you to attend a formal interview and you will be able to enrol on the night.
You may just want to come along and look around the college and its facilities - you will be most welcome.
